The Center for Historical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Berlin (CBH PAN) is in charge of the Polish Studies Blog this month.

This week, Maciej Gugała delivers insight into CBHist., a portal on the history of Poland, providing research and educational materials to pupils, students, teachers and researchers alike.

Even if not in itself a product of the current pandemic, the launch of CBHist. came at a time when digital ressources are highly sought after – holding the potential to establish itself as a valuable tool for the research on and teaching of the history of Poland.

Das Zentrum für Historische Forschung Berlin der Polnischen Akademie der Wissenschaften (CBH PAN) zeichnet diesen Monat für die redaktionelle Betreuung des Wissenschaftsblogs Polenstudien verantwortlich.

Diese Woche gibt Maciej Gugała Einblick in CBHist., ein Portal über die Geschichte Polens, das Schüler:innen, Studierende, Lehrende und Forschende mit Forschungs- und Unterrichtsmaterialien versorgt.

Zwar an sich kein Ergebnis der Pandemie, so wurde CBHist. zu einem Zeitpunkt gelauncht, da digitale Ressourcen höchst gefragt waren – und birgt großes Potenzial, sich als wertvolles Werkzeug für die Forschung und den Unterricht über die Geschichte Polens zu etablieren.

W pierwszym tekście Maciej Gugała przedstawia CBHist. ­– portal poświęcony historii Polski, dostarczający materiałów badawczych i edukacyjnych zarówno uczniom, studentom, jak i nauczycielom oraz naukowcom.

Powstanie portalu było planowane na długo przed pandemią, a uruchomienie CBHist. nastąpiło w czasie, gdy zasoby cyfrowe są bardzo pożądane. Dzięki temu portal ma potencjał, by stać się cennym narzędziem dla badań i nauczania historii Polski.
