This month, the blog is supervised by the organising team of the student conference of East European studies "Що робити? – What to do?". Students and early career researchers of East European studies will present adaptations of the papers they read at the conference.

This week, Franziska Arndt shows how the Catholic church gains in political relevance under the PiS government and how it influences Poland's democratic future.

In her opinion, it's up to the Catholic church in Poland to reconsider its sociopolitical responsibility and to define its tasks as well as the necessary institutional changes for the preservation and defence of Polish democracy.

In diesem Monat übernimmt das Organisationsteam der Studentischen Tagung zur Osteuropaforschung "Що робити? – Was tun?" den Blog. Studierende und Nachwuchswissenschaftler:innen der Osteuropastudien präsentieren ihre auf der Tagung gehaltenen Vorträge.
