Als zentrale Forschungseinrichtung der Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) und gemeinsames Projekt ihrer drei Fakultäten initiiert und bündelt das Viadrina Center B/ORDERS IN MOTION sozial-, kultur-, wirtschafts- und rechtswissenschaftliche Analysen zu den Wechselbeziehungen von Grenzen und Ordnungen. Die zahlreichen interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekte am Center, seine wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltungen in unterschiedlichen Formaten, seine Publikationsreihen und seine nationalen wie internationalen Kooperationspartnerschaften machen es zu einem Zentrum der internationalen Grenz- und Migrationsforschung.

As a central scientific institution of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and a joint project of the university’s three faculties, the Viadrina Center B/ORDERS IN MOTION initiates and bundles analyses in the social, cultural, economic, and legal sciences concerning the interrelationships between borders and orders. With a multitude of interdisciplinary research projects, academic events in various formats, publication series, and its national as well as international research partnerships, the Center has established itself as an internationally recognized hub for the study of border and migration processes.
