The British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies (BASEES) Polish Studies Group cordially invites to the fifth annual Polish studies conference hosted by UCL SSEES entitled 'Polish Studies: Today and Tomorrow'. It will take place on 22 and 23 September (the exact length tbc). We invite established academics, early career scholars and PhD students researching any aspect of contemporary Poland, Polish history or Polish migration (including migration to Poland).
The conference will comprise of both asynchronous and synchronous events. We invite papers (drafts of 750 to 4000 words; strictly 'not for quotation') which will be distributed to the attendees before the event. During the online session, the authors will have an opportunity to briefly recapitulate their ideas, this will be followed by a live discussion. The language of the discussion is English but we invite papers written in English or Polish.
The conference will end with a roundtable on postgraduate challenges in researching Poland.
