CfA for the Studia de Cultura

Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is a call for academic papers to be prospectively published in "Annales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis. Studia de Cultura" research quarterly.

In 2019, the quarterly has been incorporated into the "Support for Scientific Magazines" programme by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and allocated a publishing grant.

"Studia de Cultura" quarterly is a peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to the broadly construed issues of culture and media studies. In line with current classification, culture and religion are the Journal's leading research areas (within the humanities), with social communication and media science (within the social sciences) offering an essential supplementary focus.

Principally, we are on the lookout for original research articles (no case studies, though), and review articles, closely followed by annotated communications on research results, and paper reviews.

All individual issues are thematically structured, focusing on select research areas and methodologies. The latest issues address cyber-psychology, post-truth and fake news in the media discourse, and the significance of theatre within an educational process.

The following three issues are meant to be focused on music studies, culture therapy, and new methods and methodologies applied in media and literature research.

Please feel free to contribute your papers in English (or in other key congress languages), whilst ensuring they fall well within the above-referenced topicality.

Please mail your contributions to:

whilst making sure to adhere to the following time frame:

  • on (metal) music studies – until June 30, 2019
  • on culture therapy – until September 30, 2019
  • on the new methods and methodologies in media and literature research – until December 3, 2019

The original version of the magazine is printed. Additionally, all respective issues are regularly published on our website. Articles are licensed under Creative Commons 4.0 licence, while the contributing authors are not charged any fee for subsequent processing of their submissions.

The peer-review process is carried out in line with the double blind review standard.

Detailed guidelines for authors on the admissible standard of contributed papers (e.g. their structure, principles governing all in-text citations and references) are freely available on this website:
