The Greifswalder Polonicum was founded in 2011 as an international summer school for Polish culture, literature and language. It addresses primarily advanced international students of Polish Studies.
The participants will get the opportunity to deal with a variety of topics such as contemporary Polish literature or processes of change in Polish culture on an academic level. One main focus is the connection between cultural issues and changes in civil society. We, therefore, enrich the program with public lectures and other events introducing political and historical contexts. This year's Polonicum's topic is going to be the region of Cieszyn. Futher details are to be accounced on the webpage of the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald.
The summer school is also part of the extra curriculum in Polish Studies of the University of Greifswald, also named „Polonicum", which offers the possibility of acquiring an additional qualification in language practice, literary and cultural studies as well as linguistics within two semesters.
Applications will be accepted until 9 August. For further information as well as the application form, visit the webpage of the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg Greifswald or follow the link!
